John McCain Becomes the Most Controversial Man in Politics, The Photo Causing Uproar

The ongoing controversy and speculation over Senator John McCain’s recent actions in Washington D.C. reached a new level in recent weeks.

Earlier this summer, McCain joined with all of the Senate Democrats and several other Republicans to kill the GOP-sponsored proposal. In the latest development, McCain can be seen in a photo from the Senate floor alongside Democrats members shortly after the Obamacare repeal vote.

At this point, many people wondering if McCain is officially leaving the Republican Party and joining with the Democrats. More important – if that’s the case, should the Democrats even accept him?

Republicans are throwing a major fit over what they perceive as a back-stabbing by McCain. One right-wing blogger wrote, “McCain was never actually a conservative.”

Several other key Republicans also sided with the other Democrats in the health care vote this week. At this point, Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell does not have the 51 votes necessary to pass important legislation. That means the Republicans will continue to be deadlocked and won’t be able to accomplish anything legislatively.

Nobody likes McCain at this point – he has betrayed both liberal and conservative causes over the years on crucial issues. The tensions have reached a boiling point in recent days as drama has played out over health care reform.

The truth is that McCain is a hypocrite – he and every other Republican campaigned on a message of repealing Obamacare. Now they are in position to do so and several of them are going back on their promises.

Sadly, this has become politics as usual for establishment Republicans – they say one thing on the campaign trail, and then do something totally different once they get to Washington D.C.

McCain is reportedly set to undergo intense medical treatment in the coming weeks, so it remains to be seen whether he will be around for upcoming votes. If he is, all eyes will be watching to see if he sides with Republicans or Democrats.
