President Donald Trump just got put in an extremely awkward position.
The Trump administration’s latest controversy came after Trump challenged Secretary of State Rex Tillerson to an IQ test, following reports that Tillerson had privately called Trump a “moron.” Now, Trump will either have to put up or shut up, as a world intelligence organization is offering to sponsor an IQ test.
Now he will either have to take the test, or look like a fool by wimping out on it. It’s a true lose-lose for the idiot-in-chief.
Earlier today, it was revealed that the President of the United States challenged his very own Secretary of State Rex Tillerson to an IQ test to prove who was the smartest of them all. If you thought that was strange, well things just took a turn for the surreal.
As reported by The Hill, American Mensa – the US chapter of the high IQ society – said that they would “be happy to hold a testing session for President Trump and Secretary Tillerson.”
Charles Brown, the organization’s communication director, declined to state if any former Presidents had already joined this fairly exclusive group, but he hinted that a few of them – including George H.W. Bush, Jimmy Carter, and Bill Clinton – may have come across similar IQ-testing examinations in their earlier lives and that they were likely to be eligible to become members.
Tillerson reportedly was on the verge of resigning earlier this year due to his difficulties with Trump. Tillerson lashed out at Trump during a meeting, calling him a “moron” and threatening to quit the job altogether.
People familiar with the situation say Vice President Mike Pence has been forced to step in and try to ease the tensions that have been rising between Trump and his top staff. Pence reportedly begged Tillerson to stay, and was ultimately convincing.
Still, insiders say it’s only a matter of time before Tillerson and other high-ranking members of the Trump team have enough and decide to leave the administration.
