President Donald Trump just got his most brutal slamdown yet, and this time it’s coming from a fellow Republican.
Sen. Ben Sasse of Nebraska has been a frequent critic of the Trump administration, but now he’s ramping it up big time. Sasse published a public statement recently accusing Trump of recanting the oath of office he took during his inauguration earlier this year.
Sasse is a Republican, but even he has had enough of Trump’s tyrannical behavior.
The latest outrage was caused after Trump said that the federal government might revoke NBC’s broadcasting license because of the station’s negative coverage of the Trump administration.
For millions of Americans, Trump’s bullying and threats are starting to look a lot like a full-on attack against the First Amendment. Now Sen. Sasse is asking Trump straight up whether or not he still supports the Bill of Rights!
Sasse published a statement saying, “Mr. President: Words spoken by the President of the United States matter. Are you tonight recanting the oath you took on January 20th to preserve, protect, and defend the First Amendment?”

Trump is quickly losing support, even from conservative Republicans.
This is yet another sure sign that Trump’s time in office will end prematurely – but it still can’t come soon enough!
