President Donald Trump just carried out the single most despicable move by any president in modern history.
Trump is now engaged in a petty feud with the wife of a U.S. soldier killed overseas. Trump has taken his fighting to a shameful new low, posting on Twitter in an attempt to discredit the military widow.
The whole ordeal started after Trump reportedly made a phone call to the wife of Sgt. La David Johnson, who was killed during a U.S. military operation in Niger earlier in the month. Thousands of military families accused Trump of being insensitive for telling the wife that Johnson “knew what he signed up for.”
Now Sgt. Johnson’s wife is breaking her silence and giving her side of the story to the press for the first time.
Myeshia Johnson said during an interview on ABC News that she was “very angry” at the way Trump conducted the phone call. She added that Trump seemed to forget her husband’s name at several points during the conversation.
“I heard him stumbling on trying to remember my husband’s name, and that’s what hurt me the most because if my husband is out here fighting for our country and he risked his life for our country why can’t you remember his name,” she said. ” … Very upset and hurt; it made me cry even worse.”
As if that wasn’t all bad enough, Trump went and made things much worse.
Right after Johnson’s interview went on TV, Trump took to Twitter in an attempt to discredit the widow’s comments from the interview. Trump directly refuted the claim that he forgot Sgt. Johnson’s first name.
I had a very respectful conversation with the widow of Sgt. La David Johnson, and spoke his name from beginning, without hesitation!

Too bad for Trump, Americans have caught onto him and his stupid games. There is no way a reasonable person would believe Trump’s word over that of a U.S. military widow.
